Personal Description:
I understand that students learn in different ways and have experience adapting my approach to align with various learning preferences. I enjoy helping students build a strong understanding of physics concepts, such as classical mechanics or relativity. I can walk them through homework problems, expand their test-taking strategies for a physics final, and otherwise provide guidance.
Tutoring Experience:
I pursued two bachelor's degrees, one in Physics and one in Mathematics. I provided tutoring services to college and high school-age students at a community college, where I spent a year supporting math students. From there, I began offering private tutoring in a 1-on-1 setting. I also spent time tutoring during my undergraduate years.
Tutoring Approach:
My goal as a physics tutor isn't to have my students simply memorize the information. I want them to be able to explain the concepts and their implications, as well as determine how they can be applied to a variety of situations. From the start, I get to know my students individually, such as their learning style and interests, to find out how to best approach the subject.
