Personal Description:

My favorite subjects to teach are reading and literature. I also help students prepare for the Reading section on the ACT and the Verbal section on the GRE. I enjoy working as an English tutor, finding literature that interests each student because that helps them develop a great attitude towards education.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my bachelor's degree in Literature and Creative Writing and went on to earn my Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. I have two years of experience teaching seventh-grade students in language arts and am available to tutor students in all grade levels in English topics like grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and literature.

Tutoring Approach:

When I tutor students, I work closely with them to make sure they understand important concepts rather than just memorizing answers to particular questions. By understanding how they feel about English subjects and what their expectations are for our sessions, I can work to increase their reading comprehension ability so they can study more effectively.
