Personal Description:

I graduated from UofT (downtown) with an English Specialist (4.0 GPA) and I am currently an OCT (Ontario Certified Teacher). I specialize in essay writing, poetry analysis, and Shakespeare. These are topics that many students have difficulty with, but I know with my individualized care and fun learning strategies, I can help you learn and improve.

Tutoring Experience:

I'm working as a full-time English teacher. I worked in China, Vancouver, and now Toronto; my years of experience has taught me how to address the needs of students from a variety of cultures and language barriers. I have worked from very well known private schools to the biggest public school boards.

I have taught hundreds of students, many of which are studying at very prestigious schools, such as McGill, UofT, York, Ryerson, Parsons, University of Hong Kong, and many others.

Tutoring Approach:

I provide a student centred approach where I look at what the students' needs are, combined with what they are learning in school. I prepare them beyond memorization and learning how to get an "A+" in their current grade; instead, I teach them sferable learning skills and fundamentals that they can carry into future grades so they can excel in whatever they want.
