Personal Description:

I would describe myself as a flexible biology tutor who does whatever it takes to engage his students, whether that means relating basic biological concepts to practical use cases such as medicine or backtracking to deepen a student's understanding of the fundamentals. I also encourage my students to ask as many questions as possible and develop a natural curiosity about the world around them. I am comfortable teaching high school and college biology, ecology, microbiology, and molecular biology (among others).

Tutoring Experience:

I am an experienced college-level science teacher, so I have considerable experience helping students pursue their goals in STEM subjects. Many of my former students have even sought me out to continue teaching them even after our class was finished.

Tutoring Approach:

If students feel that they aren't making progress, their motivation frequently declines. I like to intentionally ask questions that I know my students know the answer to so that they always feel like they are making progress.
