Personal Description:

I believe strongly in the ability of technology to improve the educational process. With the internet and more resources being available online, education has become more democratic and freely available. As a lifelong learner myself, I understand how important it is that people have access to educational tools, including tutors.

Tutoring Experience:

My background in teaching includes seven years as an educational professional. I received both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. As a biology tutor, I teach general biology and high school biology, and cell biology, as well as assorted other topics. Education is something that I am very passionate about and I love to help people out with tutoring when they are trying to pursue their own education.

Tutoring Approach:

I like to start with observation. First I want to determine what level my students are at so that I can construct a lesson plan that is adequately challenging but at the same time reasonable so that they are not overwhelmed. After that, I like to focus on making sure that my students are motivated and in good spirits, and encouraging them to solve problems in their own unique manner.
