Personal Description:

Hi, my name is Cody and I am a math tutor that works primarily with high school students. I find it easy to connect with this age group and to create a learning environment that helps them work more effectively towards their academic goals. I also understand how discouraging it can be when a student is struggling with a course and use personal examples to help keep them motivated.

Tutoring Experience:

I am currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in computer sciences. I began tutoring in high school and am able to tutor students in a variety of courses in the field of mathematics, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and more.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe a tutor isn't there just to help a student memorize facts but to truly learn the material. I understand that each student is unique and learns differently but I make an effort to connect information from the lesson to real-world examples to make it more applicable to the individual student.
