Personal Description:
My name is Cleo and I’m currently a university student at the University of New Brunswick. I am studying in a Law in Society program and aspire to be in a teaching or social work position. In the next 10 years I will have graduated and hopefully been put onto the path to achieve my PHD. I believe heavily in self growth and with that I have developed a love of teaching.
Tutoring Experience:
I have volunteered in tutoring for several subjects and several different grades. I completed a teaching coop where I was an assistant teacher for a grade nine science course and GLE classroom. While at university I became a note taker which supplied students that need a little extra help with the materials to improve themselves.
Tutoring Approach:
When teaching I try to encourage students to find their own answers. I am a last stop point to explain when the student can’t reach the answer themselves. After a session I like to do a self reflection for the student as well as myself. This gives a positive reinforcement of what went well but also gives a place to grow.
