Personal Description:

I hold a Masters in Public Policy, Administration & Law from York University. Prior to this, I completed my B.A. in Theatre & Political Science at the University of Toronto and graduated with High Distinction. I was also a global journalism fellow at the University of Toronto.

People describe me as a cool . I'm still not sure that I'm cool, but my students seem to find me pretty relatable and find talking with me quite easy. I never charge students if we go over by a few minutes.

I am frequently asked to present my research at academic conferences. When not immersed in academia, I am a journalist. In a past life I was an actor and writer and have written for children and adults.

Tutoring Experience:

I have worked as a teaching assistant at the University of Toronto in the drama department. I have taught teens in various capacities in small group settings. I have also tutored privately at all levels and taught all ages.

In addition to helping students with their writing, I love helping students with presentations. I also love helping students with research. I can help you access services at your school, find grants to apply to or point you towards other tools or programs to save money in other ways. I've been there and I am happy to share tips outside of the formal areas of learning.

Tutoring Approach:

I am calm and patient. I try to make things fun. Sometimes I help students come up with fun memory tricks that will work for them or new ways of thinking about things that stick in their heads.
