Personal Description:
I'm a biology tutor working primarily with high school and college students. I'm comfortable with many different styles of learning and with teaching and tutoring online. I'm a patient instructor with a true passion for all aspects of biology. I consider myself a people person and find it easy to make a connection with my students.
Tutoring Experience:
I earned my undergraduate degree in biology and my graduate degree in tropical conservation biology and environmental science. I was a teaching assistant for the sustainable agriculture course for two years.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe all students can be taught if they find someone who is able to connect the topic to something they are personally interested in. Because of this, I take the time to learn about my student's interests and what they are struggling with in their course. To help students retain the information I like to use cross-disciplinary links to show how the biology concepts fit into all areas of life.
