Personal Description:

Hi, I am a student at UBC in 2nd year engineering. I am on a full academic scholarship from Zimbabwe, where I received straight As for my high school curriculum. I can tutor high school students in Math, Physics and Chemistry. I understand that during the current COVID-19 situation, many parents are under pressure to teach their children, and with the astronomical tutoring prices, it is not feasible to get external assistance. I have little professional experience, and I have not graduated yet, but I am willing to work for a lot less and will offer a free test period to any of my clients. My hobbies include debate challenges, biking, hiking, and working for my design team.

Tutoring Experience:

I tutored students at my high school as a part of my student government responsibilities. I have started the training for Kite tutoring, but I was unable to start due to the COVID-19 situation.

Tutoring Approach:

I will plan the lessons well in advance and am prepared to send lessons structures to parents before we begin. From my experience, the sciences are best explained through practice, so my primary method of teaching would be to work through problems with the student.
