Personal Description:

Hello! My name is Carolyn, and I am in my first year of my Bachelors of Education with lots of experience working with children through volunteer opportunities in classrooms, teaching swimming lessons, and working at an overnight summer camp. I am inspired to learn from my students just as much as they love to learn from me. I have supported students to success in many subject areas, and hope to provide an engaging session that you look forward to each week.

I love dogs, going for walks, and playing outside. You can usually find me on a glorious day on the swings at the park!

Tutoring Experience:

I have been tutoring Math for the past 5 years, with students from Grade 1 to first year University. I have been working with students on their language development for the past year, and have ample expertise in Social Studies and Geography where I am passionate about continuously learning in this area.

I have volunteered in Elementary classrooms for 5 years, assisting teachers by working one-on-one with students who are struggling in different areas, to provide more attention and support to them when they need it most.

Tutoring Approach:

Interactive, fun, visual - I love to find ways to make the learning fun and interesting. Doing worksheets is not my approach, I aim to find a more interactive way for students to learn.
