Personal Description:
I am an outgoing person with strong problem-solving skills. I believe learning should be interesting, whether we are going over the specific functions of angles for trigonometry or stoichiometry. I can supplement a student's academics throughout their coursework or supply guidance for students preparing for exams. I enjoy sharing my knowledge with others.
Tutoring Experience:
I began tutoring in 1977 when I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Chemistry. I also earned a master's in Biostatistics. Since 1977, I have gained invaluable experience as a teacher and a tutor. I have worked with students 1-on-1, as well as in classes of up to 200 students. My pupils range from 8th grade to medical school students.
Tutoring Approach:
I am passionate about math and science to make each session as engaging as possible. Due to the 1-on-1 nature of math tutoring, I can employ a variety of approaches to help my student get the hang of concepts like quadratic equations, linear functions, and more.
