Personal Description:
I am a chemical engineer with a master in metallurgy. I've worked in the mining industry for the better part of the last 10 years. I was the first rank and graduated with honors from my bachelor, which earned me a full scholarship from UBC to pursue a graduate degree. I would describe myself as a very easy-going person with the ability to simplify any complex piece of information. I am also very patient with people who want to learn because I respect the will to always bettering oneself. I can't promise you that you will succeed in your exam because that depends entirely on you, but I can promise you that if you put in the effort to learn then I'll also put my very best to help you succeed.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught since I was maybe 10 years old due to my natural affinity for sciences, especially math which is the reason why I became an engineer in the first place. The reason why I was so early into teaching is that I always leaped ahead of everyone else my age. I have taught classes at every single level. My last experience teaching was at the university as a teaching assistant, as well as a private tutor, and even to full classrooms of undergrads. If I had to summarize my whole teaching experience, it would be that I have never had anyone be disappointed with my teaching skills.
Tutoring Approach:
There is no such thing as a dumb question. If there is something that you are not 100% sure about, the best way to clear your doubts is to ask. The only dumb thing is to stay quiet and pretend that you have understood everything. The way I teach is by practicing non-stop. Sciences are all about practice, not memory. Once you learn the basic concept, you will be able to solve any problem.
