Personal Description:

I am an English tutor who works with students in elementary, middle, high school, and college. I also work with students who are learning English as a second language, and those who have learning disabilities. I have extensive experience identifying and correcting reading difficulties that cause the bulk of academic problems. Further, I am familiar with instructional strategies and educational theories for all academic levels.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my undergraduate degree in English and I am certified to teach all subject areas in grades four through eight. I am additionally certified to teach English as a second language for the same grade levels. I've been teaching in the classroom for five years and I have a record of success working with students with a variety of special needs.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that every student can benefit from a little extra help, whether that means strengthening a foundational skill, homework help, assistance getting ahead, or enrichment activities for high achieving and gifted students.
