Personal Description:

My name is Caitlin and, as an avid learner, I enjoy seeing other students build their passion in learning. I believe encouragement and mutual respect are essential to the tutoring process. As a French tutor, I can help you become a fluent speaker, reader, and writer in the French language.

Tutoring Experience:

I am a journalism major who is passionate about knowledge, I am interested in many subjects and like to make others think. I find that it's not getting the student to the right answer that's most important. Challenging them to do it independently and from different perspectives is the goal.

Tutoring Approach:

Students learn most effectively when they find a learning process that works best for them. I encourage them to ask questions and analyze how they reached an answer. It's great when they are comfortable admitting they don't understand how they got one; it helps with critical thinking skills and acquiring new ones, such as learning a new language.
