Personal Description:
I'm currently studying medicine, and I want to be a chemistry tutor because I've had to adapt my learning style throughout my academic career to get to where I am today and where I want to go. I have strong study skills that I've built throughout this experience as well. In addition, thanks to my experience in medical school, I've become a great listener with the ability to explain complex topics in simpler ways.
Tutoring Experience:
I've taken a lot of advanced coursework to get to where I am, and I can share what I've learned about how to learn successfully with others. Thanks to my experience in communicating with patients, I'm ready to break down difficult concepts for students who are struggling to understand something.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe active listening and asking questions strategically helps me facilitate understanding for my students. I will talk with the student first to understand their experience and struggles, and we'd talk about what has and hasn't worked for them before. Then we'll focus on practice, breaking down concepts, and good communication. My goal is to lead my students to find the right answers on their own.
