Personal Description:

Hey there! My name is Brendon and I am an Ontario Certified Teacher with a Master of Teaching from the University of Toronto. I have been actively teaching on a professional level for 9 years now, and have a lot of experience dealing with students. Not only do I thoroughly understand the mathematical curriculum in Ontario, but I am effectively able to communicate it towards my students in an easy and understandable way.

Math can be an intimidating subject, but I can assure you that no matter what your difficulties are, or what your level of study is, I can help you excel and thrive within your course.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been actively teaching professionally at local high schools and also privately for the past 9 years. I have well over 8000 hours of teaching experience and all of my past students left my tutoring program not only with a better grade; but with a thorough understanding of the course material and a stronger passion towards the beauty of mathematics.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is focused on one thing: effective communication. Math can be very difficult and extremely tricky which often intimidates students and drifts them away from math courses. It is extremely important that when a student is learning math they have a teacher who can explain these concepts in an easy and understandable fashion. They need to be able to build a relationship with their student, make them feel relaxed and create an environment which promotes and stimulates intellectual thought.

Not only can I communicate and explain even the most difficult math concepts, but I can bestow confidence within my students, giving them the tools they need to excel in mathematics throughout the course of their educational career. My students always leave with three things: higher grades, higher confidence within themselves, and a new friend!
