Personal Description:

Hello, my name is Brandon .
I am a recent graduate of the University of Guelph with a B.Sc. in Agriculture degree and a Majors in Crop, Horticulture and Turfgrass Science.
I also have two diplomas from the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus, one in Horticulture and one in Agriculture.
I hope to do online work as an K12 (especially Grade 9 Science) and/or Agriculture Science tutor in your organization.
These experiences have given me both a wide understanding of various aspects of agriculture from agronomy (Crop Management) to Plant Genetics on the theoretical side of things as well as an understanding of the practical uses of these sciences. These aspects of my schooling give me crossover knowledge of various scientific concepts
I have flexible hours, and a willingness to work to help anyone understand the concepts of a sciences, both in theory as well as in practical applications.

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience in aiding my fellow students during my post secondary experience.

This includes aid in studying for tests, midterms, and final exams.

Created multiple educational series on YouTube regarding Plant Breeding, Plant Science and Crop History.

Tutoring Approach:

I would start out by asking one week ahead of time about what specific questions, topics or projects does the student have trouble with.

I would also ask for some example questions and answers to note at what level of detail does each question need be answered.

I would ask about the topics of interest of the student, so I may try to relate the school topic to the topic of interest.

Following that, I would make up a power point presentation, this would start off by covering a specific topic to specific degree required using examples and practice questions followed by answers.

Following that, I would send out to the student a Kahoot quiz, Kahoot is an online quiz website that allows for the creation of custom quizzes that are actually quite fun (learned from experience).

This will let me know how well the tutoring session went in terms of the students understanding and where to go from there (if there needs to be a next session, what would be covered in the future and how I can improve.)
