Personal Description:

I was inspired to become a tutor after helping my own children with their studies. They had learning disabilities themselves, and I thought I could help students who experienced similar difficulties. It is my belief that all students can become effective learners if the content is presented to them in a clear and concise manner tailored to their learning style.

Tutoring Experience:

I am an experienced educator who home schooled 3 of my 4 children throughout their elementary and high school years. I have also worked in the public school system alongside students with learning difficulties and hold a bachelor's degree in Special Education. On top of being a math tutor, I can support students in a number of elementary-level subjects.

Tutoring Approach:

I am a big believer that any student can learn with constant support and positive reinforcement. By adapting my lessons to my student's unique learning needs and abilities, I can work towards their strengths and address their weaknesses. This will in turn ensure that we maximize our sessions together.
