Personal Description:

I am a first year dental student at the University of Toronto. I received an Honours Bachelor of Science from the same school in 2018 with a 3.93 GPA and a major in both Biochemistry and Pharmacology.

I have tutored for over two years as a private tutor and with two companies - Tutor Bright, and Academy of Mathematics and English.

Tutoring Experience:

I have a diverse experience tutoring students from grade 1 to the university level, and students in both gifted and IB programs. I also have experience working with children with special needs through many years of swim instruction.

I have tutored students in English, Mathematics and the Sciences (physics, biology, organic and general chemistry). I have also taught for two summers for the rigorous Medical Youth Summer Program in Toronto.

Tutoring Approach:

As a tutor, I focus on a student's approach to learning in addition to the material itself. I aim to help students understand concepts well enough to explain them back to me rather than memorize information. Developing an excellent core understanding of material makes for a stronger foundation for long-term learning. This is what I will be working on with my students.
