Personal Description:
Hello!
My name is Ayesha and I am a fourth year medical student at the University of Toronto. I am offering high quality one-on-one tutoring service for students from grades 9-12 in all subjects, as well as for undergraduate students in any science courses.
I also detailed, high-quality offer editing services. I am happy to share my expertise and prior tutoring experience, as well as my teaching philosophy should you be interested, and work with you at a rate that works. Drop me a line if you interested!
Tutoring Experience:
I have been a tutor and mentor in some capacity most of my life. I am the eldest of five, and tutored all my younger siblings throughout high school and undergraduate studies. I have done multiple mock interviews with them for various professional jobs and internships.
In undergrad, I worked as a tutor and mentor for the Saturday Program at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto, which provides mentorship to high school students interested in medicine. During medical school, as the Program Coordinator for Altitude Mentorship Program, I coordinated matching undergraduate students with mentors in medical school, ran workshops on how to write a CV, prepare medical school applications and did mock interviews for medical school admissions with my mentees. As the President of the Muslim Medical Association Chapter at U of T, I have also organized annual interview prep workshops for medical school and residency, prepared slides for interview advice - geared specifically to different interview styles as panels and MMI, and worked one-on-one with students in interview prep.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is highly tailored to your needs!
If you are a high school student, hoping to work on time-management skills, and develop good study skills that will serve you well in your future studies, we will work together on that. I like working on problems with my students, and allowing you to develop these skills.
If you are an undergraduate student working on professional school applications, or simply navigating how to succeed in undergraduate studies, we can work on that! I have firsthand experience with trial and error, and working to develop time-management and study skills that will serve you well throughout your academic and personal life.
