Personal Description:
I am a medical student at UBC with over 8 years of experience with helping students reach their goals. I earned a Bachelor in Science with a gold medal for graduating at the top of the class.
Have someone who knows what it is like to go through the process of applying to medical and dental schools help you reach your goals.
Structure:
Sessions are catered towards your needs. Typically, we start off the sessions by reviewing questions that students have. Upon request/ We explore approaches to answer the questions efficiently.
At the end of the session, I will review weak spots with you to ensure that you walk away having mastered the material.
A list of topics to review for next time will be provided. I want you to be self-sufficient as well.
Locations:
Online sessions allow you to be tutored from the comfort of your own home.
Sessions are also available near UBC or Vancouver General Hospital.
Please send me your availability for tutoring so that we can find a time that works best for you. Limited times are available throughout the week because I work in the hospital.

Tutoring Approach:
You are free to structure the sessions based on your own needs. I find that a certain structure works well for most of my students.
The first hour is invested towards answering specific questions you have. For instance, if you wanted to know how to solve a particular biochemistry question or how to annotate a specific biology passage from the biological sciences section. I explain everything and save the explanations in the form of flashcards which can be sent to you to review.
I will compile a list of weak spots to work on (i.e.: substitution reactions, enthalpy equations, etc.) so that you know what to work on in addition to the study schedule that we will make together. This way, you know exactly what you need to do to maximize your grades (or score if you are writing the MCAT or DAT).
The last 10-15 minutes is invested towards reviewing the concepts that we covered in that day's session through the use of flashcards. This will help you master the content.
Sessions are in person or online through Google Hangouts.
For online sessions, they are very similar to in person sessions. You will be viewing my computer screen as we review high yield topics together.
Everything important will be sent to you during the session for future reference.
I wish you the best of luck in reaching your goals.
