Personal Description:
Hey, I'm Anthon. I am a 3rd year Biomedical Engineering student from University of Victoria here in Toronto for a year for co-op. I am interested in design, modelling, programming and the biological sciences. I aspire to work in the academic/research field in the future.
Tutoring Experience:
I have been a tutor since I was a senior in High School. I have studied under the British Curriculum and gave my IGCSEs and IALs (similar to IB) and had AP courses in Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Biology. I have taught in coaching centers as well as private one-to-one tutor.
Tutoring Approach:
I find the best method to teach is to break down a key topic in multiple logical steps. For examples, in approaching a physics problem, I always make my students first write down all the quantities with their respective units, then draw diagrams to help them visualize, then write down all relevant formulae and then finally, analyze and figure out the relevant method to solve the problem.
