Personal Description:

I think that science is awesome and wish to share that passion with students as a biology tutor. I believe that tutors need to understand how each student learns best to design study sessions that meet their needs, and I'm always willing to tailor my approach to fit a pupil's learning style. I can also help students find additional academic resources to address any lingering needs. I am comfortable working with students of all ages and online or in person.

Tutoring Experience:

I am a professional high school biology teacher with experience teaching most middle and high school science courses, so I will be prepared for any questions your student throws at me. I have also tutored students taking undergraduate science courses.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe that the most important aspect of tutoring is that students understand HOW they answered a question rather than simply giving them the correct response. Therefore, a lot of my lessons emphasize problem-solving and critical thinking skills just as much as DNA replication and life processes.
