Personal Description:

Hi, thank you for taking the time to read my profile! My name is Anabelle, I'm 20 years old, and I'm passionate about working with people of all ages to grow their knowledge and love of english literature and creative writing.

Tutoring Experience:

I am currently a student in an English and Creative Writing program, with a minor in Professional writing, so I am very familiar with the craft. I have worked as a writer and editor with multiple different literary magazines, and I have a keen eye for structure and grammar. I am very familiar with literary analysis, essay writing, creative writing, etcetera.
Throughout my degree, I have done extensive peer tutoring both in workshop environments and outside of class. I have also worked with children both in learning environments and causal environments, specifically summer camp where I love to teach kids about the joy of the outdoors!

Tutoring Approach:

Tutoring is different than teaching; it is collaborative learning. It is important to meet people where they're at, ask questions, and approach issues in a gentle and understanding way. Every student is different. Because I am younger than a lot of tutors, I feel like I can better connect with elementary and high school kids. I remember what it's like to be in a classroom and feel lost, and I know how hard it can be. But it is possible to learn and get better, and that is what I want to show my students.
