Personal Description:
I love being a physics tutor because it gives me the opportunity to work one-on-one with students and truly customize the instructional experience to fit the needs and learning style of the individual student.
I believe practice helps solidify understanding and to this end, I often bring additional practice problems to tutoring sessions to go over in addition to any class notes and concepts covered in a student's course
Tutoring Experience:
I earned my undergraduate degree in chemistry and my graduate degree in environmental toxicology with a focus on environmental chemistry. I served as an undergraduate teaching assistant for general chemistry and as a guest lecturer for a gradua**Contact Detail Removed**vel chemistry course. I am currently pursuing certification to teach high school science and I've tutored numerous students.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe it's important to get to know the student and learn why they're taking a particular course and their long-term goals. I also like to understand their learning style, academic strengths and struggles, and hobbies so that I can fully customize their learning experience.
