Personal Description:

Hello!

I was born here, in Kitchener-Waterloo, as many of my family had emigrated to Canada from Croatia much before my birth. I still teach many of my family members English to this day, which may be another reason I love teaching the language so much. I have always had a passion for writing fantasy stories, and also reading novels from the genre as well. It's safe to say, the English language has always played a large role in my life.

Tutoring Experience:

Currently, I teach a part-time Canadian Citizenship class with adult participants ranging from low to high levels of English language skills. In this role, I am instructing a classroom with over fifteen adult students.

I have tutored for over five years in English, instructing many different areas from Grade 2 Elementary coursework to Senior ESL students.

Tutoring Approach:

I enjoy learning what areas the student is struggling with and/or looking to improve. While learning the areas of weakness, I look to develop entertaining approaches to teaching the material.
