Personal Description:

I am 36 years old and am currently home with my 3 kids. I have a Msc in biology with a minor in chemistry. I completed highschool and college courses with distinction.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored highschool biology, chemistry and math for Edmonton public schools in their continuing education program for the last 7 years. In this program I have worked with a wide range of students; both highschool students and adults who are upgrading courses. I also teach piano.

Tutoring Approach:

All students learn differently and I try to adapt my tutoring to the needs of the student. In general I've found it most helpful for students to send their questions to me via text or email, and then work through them together. This helps identify any recurring errors and helps them understand the key concepts they need to understand. It also allows them to ask questions as they work, which is important for learning! I also try to provide students with additional questions if they need extra practice, as repetition is key!
