Information About Amal
Dartmouth tutorPersonal Description:
My name is Amal. I have earned my Ph.D. degree in Interdisciplinary biomedical sciences which encompasses (biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, pharmacology and microbiology etc). My teaching skills will be best reflected in biology and chemistry courses. My favorite part about teaching is when I see the lightbulb moment look in my students' eyes. In addition, I enjoy making students' life easier and making the learning process more fun! I like to train my students to think on their own and to critically analyze any material. I wanna make sure you memorize and perfectly understand the material before the end of our session!
Tutoring Experience:

Presented several research papers in journal club courses in both my Master's and PhD programs.
Tutored and mentored undergraduate and graduate students in the laboratory and helped with understanding the course material.
Gave a 90-minute biology lecture for undergraduate students at Philander Smith College, Arkansas, United States of America.
Tutoring Approach:
Formative assessments through multiple-choice questions throughout the session. Also, I like to use several visual aids such as graphs, schemes to help students retain information better.
