Personal Description:

My name is Ali , and I an MD student at the University of Toronto. I have extensive tutoring experience and I really enjoy helping people learn complex subjects to achieve their goals. I am a friendly, patient, and thoughtful person that wants to help you reach your highest academic potential!

Tutoring Experience:

I have been a peer tutor at my institution for 3 years, tutoring a range of subjects from Organic Chemistry, Classical Physics, Biochemistry, and General Biology. I have also tutored Organic Chemistry to mature students and different institutions virtually.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring is to help the student learn for themselves. That means that at the early stages, I will guide the student to understand the material and then allow them to exercise their knowledge through practice problems. Most of the students I have tutored enjoyed this approach because they can learn the material with the confidence of having me (the tutor) by their side in order to develop their capacity to apply their knowledge. I also prefer looking at the student materials beforehand to determine the best route of tutoring for the student.
