Personal Description:

My name is Alexis. I am currently 20 years old living in Kamloops British Columbia. I have always had a passion and a curious mind for learning about what is around me. Biology has always been my favorite subject throughout my time in school and university. My favorite things to do are surfing, sea kayaking, rock climbing, and snowboarding. I enjoy helping people learn. I always strive to ensure I am doing everything possible for them.

Tutoring Experience:

I have tutored many individuals before ranging from 5 to 22 years old in a wide variety of subjects, but Biology will always be my strong suit and favorite.

Tutoring Approach:

I think the best way to help an individual learn is to start by getting to know them. It is important to figure out what works best for the student and what does not.

I would like to know the following about the student in order to make the best approach for their learning:
-Strengths and weaknesses about the subject of Biology ("I understand these topics but not these ones", "I find it difficult to remember terms")
-What you need from me directly (Perhaps a certain topic, help with notes, diagrams, etc)
-How you take notes (Paper, laptop, messy, clean, etc)
