Personal Description:

I have had experience tutoring a wide variety of students and consider my ability to listen to my students my greatest strength as an English tutor. In addition to tutoring English topics, I can help students prepare for the Analytical Writing and Verbal sections of the GRE and can help graduate students with their dissertations.

Tutoring Experience:

I earned my bachelor's degree in English and Cultural Studies and went on to earn my master's degree in English Literature. I'm now a Ph.D. student. I have tutored elementary school children, college students, pre-professional majors, and even professors. I'm an English tutor who specializes in College English, Comparative Literature, English grammar and syntax, and more.

Tutoring Approach:

Listening to my students is essential. I pay attention both to what they say and what they don't say, which gives me the opportunity to empower them to create goals and determine realistic steps to achieve their goals. I meet students where they're at and help them figure out the steps they need to take to get where they want to be.
