Personal Description:
I am an International Baccalaureate Diploma graduate and studying engineering at the University of Waterloo. I have experience tutoring students of all ages in various subjects.
Tutoring Experience:
- Tutoring at Bayview Secondary School for students aged 13-17
- Kumon assistant teacher for students aged 3-15
- Instructor for City of Richmond Hill for students aged 5-10
Tutoring Approach:
Since every student is different I find it best to get to know the student first then determine which approach to go with. Some students need motivation to learn so I use more encouraging words and try to make the learning more fun. Some students need more explanation, while some students simply need to be told the basics. Not to mention, kids are different day to day. Nevertheless, I am very flexible and understand how each student likes to learn and what helps them best.
