Personal Description:
Hello, my name is Adela, I am Spaniard and a Spanish Teacher as a Second Language accredited by the Instituto Cervantes.
I am teaching Spanish for the last five years to students from level A1 to C2 with varied needs. In my opinion, the online option is the best and easier for the students because nowadays both adults and children must make the time the most profitable possible. I can connect very well with the students as I am a empathic person with lots of teaching skills.
On a personal level, I love traveling and getting to know other cultures. I consider myself lucky because I have had the opportunity to meet many countries. In addition to teaching, I also like to learn new things, nature, reading and sports such as hiking, swimming and sky.
Tutoring Experience:
Initially, after I moved to Canada 5 years ago, I started to teach Spanish as a volunteer at the Public Library. As the experience was fantastic for me, and encouraged by my students, I decided to get the Spanish Teacher Certificate to do my lessons professionally.
I am teaching Spanish for the last five years to students from level A1 to C2 with varied needs both online and face to face.
Tutoring Approach:
Depending on the goals, level and personality of my students, I propose the classes differently so that the experience is as satisfactory as possible. My classes are creative, interactive, fun and enjoyable. I use games, drawings, exercises, recordings, videos, media and any other tool valid for the main purpose, which is for my student to learn. I teach 100% in Spanish, unless it is necessary to clarify something in English, such as some grammatical content. After the first class, and once I understand the student's needs and assess his/her level, I develop the program to follow. I play all areas of teaching: listening and reading comprehension, written expression and both oral expression and interaction, with special emphasis on the oral area because it is the most difficult to achieve without a tutor.
