Personal Description:
I am a teacher in the Newcastle area with a passion for helping children to succeed in their education. I have a Bachelor of Teaching in Primary and Early Childhood with honours in which I achieved a 6.5 GPA (between Distinction and High Distinction). I am an intermediate Japanese learner (studied 5 years in high school and 1 year at university level ), have been playing guitar for 15 years, and have a passion for reading.
Tuition Experience:
I have tutored in the areas of Maths and English (K-6), Linguistics and Educational Theory (tertiary), and Japanese and Guitar (all ages) for the past 6 years. I have experience teaching in classrooms as a teacher of all year levels, and experience teaching STEM in school incursions using lego.
Tutoring Approach:
My tutoring is always tailored to student needs. I get to know the person (and their parents if they are children) and what it is they most desire to improve their skills in. I adapt my teaching style to match the aptitudes and interests of my student, to ensure that my teaching is conducive to learning and achieves desired outcomes.
