Personal Description:
I am Saptarshi , a first-year Bachelor of Economics and Advanced Studies student at the University of Sydney. I have a strong academic background in STEM and Economics, and I’ve been tutoring students from grades 8 to 12 in subjects like mathematics, economics, physics, and biology. My experience includes not only one-on-one tutoring but also mentoring students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Beyond tutoring, my internships at Global Trust (UK) and ACI Godrej (Bangladesh) have strengthened my analytical and communication skills, which I apply when explaining complex concepts in an engaging and understandable manner. I am passionate about education and believe in tailoring my teaching approach to suit each student’s learning style.
Additionally, my leadership roles in school clubs and participation in academic competitions, like the Bangladesh Economics Olympiad, have reinforced my ability to guide students effectively. I am eager to bring my knowledge, patience, and enthusiasm for teaching to this role."**
Tuition Experience:
I have been tutoring for over a year, teaching STEM subjects and Economics to students from grades 8 to 12. My experience includes both one-on-one and small-group tutoring, where I focus on breaking down complex concepts into simpler, more digestible parts. I have worked with students preparing for O-Level and A-Level exams, helping them with problem-solving techniques, exam strategies, and conceptual clarity.
In addition to private tutoring, my role as a mentor in school clubs has strengthened my ability to teach and guide students effectively. I have conducted workshops, led quiz sessions, and mentored junior members, further refining my communication and teaching methods.
I believe in an interactive and student-centered approach, adapting my teaching style to suit different learning needs. My goal is to make learning engaging, boost students’ confidence, and help them achieve their academic goals.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach to tutoring is student-centered, adaptable, and focused on building a strong conceptual foundation. I begin by assessing each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning style to tailor my lessons accordingly. My goal is not just to help students memorize information but to develop a deep understanding of the subject so they can apply concepts confidently.
For subjects like Mathematics and Economics, I emphasize problem-solving and real-world applications to make learning engaging and practical. In Physics and Biology, I break down complex theories into simpler explanations and use visual aids where necessary. I also provide structured lesson plans, regular practice problems, and mock tests to track progress and build exam confidence.
I encourage interactive discussions and critical thinking rather than passive learning. By creating a supportive and motivating environment, I ensure my students gain not only academic success but also the confidence to tackle challenging concepts independently.
