Personal Description:

I'm a biologist turned Maths and ESL teacher who has helped hundreds of students get the ATAR score they need to follow their dreams at university. I lived in Spain for 5 years where I first began teaching in classrooms, but soon transitioned to working one on one with struggling students. My gentle, personable approach makes me an effective teacher for neurodiverse learners, and I have extensive training and experience working with students with ADHD, autism, anxiety and depression. Many of my students believed that maths would never be their thing, but have made 360° turnarounds and been able to not only graduate high school and achieve top scores in advanced Maths, but have fun along the way! My Science background also allows me to put mathematics, especially statistics, in a real-world context which makes it both more accessible and interesting. Tuition Experience:

I have taught full classrooms of teenagers in traditional school settings as well as private academies. I have worked with hundreds of online Maths and ESL students over the past 5 years, both collaborating with platforms and as a freelancer. I have extensive experience with school-refusing and unwilling students, and am yet to encounter a student where learning was truly unachievable - with enough patience, there's always room to grow.

Tutoring Approach:

My online lessons are personalized to your individual needs, and I use resources aligned with each state's school curriculum to make sure that nothing gets missed out. We will work through problems in as many different ways as necessary until you feel comfortable and empowered to go further on your own. In fact, the biggest sign of success for me is to hear that I'm no longer needed!
