Personal Description:
Hello! My name is Roxanne.
I am a qualified secondary teacher of English and Psychology. I am familiar with Australian curriculum from years 7 to 12. I have also been tutoring since 2014 both in person and online and have taught students across Australia and even the UK.
I have many years of knowledge in different fields and intimacy with learning environments. I would love to use these skills to help you or your child to achieve better results in their learning. Whether the aim is to achieve excellent results, build confidence in learning, or to find relevance in learning I am dedicated to providing the results you require!
I majored in Psychology and Philosophy at University, and so feel comfortable to tutor Philosophy at a VCE or University level as well.
***Location information: the website has my location wrong, it won't update from my old area in Victoria. I currently live in Far north Queensland. I've disabled in person tutoring as an option so it won't waste people's time. If you are in FNQ you can reach out to me about in-person sessions***
Tuition Experience:
I have experience working with all year levels of both genders and many different backgrounds. I also have a wide range of informal experience assisting friends and family members in their learning. I have been tutoring students with a range of ages and backgrounds since 2014.
Tutoring Approach:
I am a friendly and patient teacher and have received positive feedback from my students in regards to my classroom manner and the quality of the explanations that I offer them. My teaching practice aims to engage students with interesting and relevant content, combined with a safe and supportive environment within which to explore topics, issues, and areas of interest.
I believe that every student has the right to learn and access to individualised support regardless of their family circumstances. Because of this, I offer discounted sessions to any family with a valid concession card.
