Tutoring Approach:
Students are assisted to understand mathematical concepts through thorough yet simple explanations and examples and are encouraged to enjoy the subject of maths. The approach includes diagnosis, exposition, consolidation, assessment and monitoring for improved mathematical achievement. Students are encouraged not only to excel in understanding mathematical concepts but to become proficient in higher level cognitive skills such as problem solving and analytical and evaluative thinking. The emphasis is on experiencing success early on so that students gain more confidence with maths exercises and in the classroom. Liaising with the student's classroom teacher and coordinator are also offered to further support the student's mathematical proficiency.
