Hello there! I’m Jodi - a professional and experienced teacher and tutor. I began tutoring while completing my Bachelor of Education (Primary) in 2014. After graduation, I worked in Donnybrook, WA, as a primary teacher with the Department of Education, and continued to tutor primary students in English and Mathematics after school hours. In 2022, I decided to step away from the classroom, and focus on developing my own tutoring business - The Tutoring Corner. Since opening the doors of the Tutoring Corner, I have tutored over 50 students in English and Mathematics - ranging from 5 to 15 years of age. Tutoring Approach:
I offer one-on-one and paired tutoring sessions in Primary English and Primary and Secondary (Years 7-10) Mathematics. My sessions commence with a warm up, focussed teaching and practice of the students’ specific learning needs, and finish with a content relevant game. I use high quality resources and evidence-based teaching practices during my sessions, and structure sessions to meet my students’ individual needs.
