I have a Bachelor’s Degree in International and Global Relations from the University of Sydney and a Masters Degree in Non-For-Profit Management from UTS, both with distinction averages. I am currently applying for a PhD in Ethics & Technology.
I speak Spanish, advanced French, Portuguese and Turkish, and basic Italian. I have also worked and volunteered in the humanitarian and development sector for ten years, working with organisations such as the UN & Red Cross. Currently I am Head of Content & Lead Editor for Polis Analysis, a London-based political analysis startup. Across this work, my focus has primarily been refugee and asylum seeker issues, climate change, technology and education.

I can teach maths and science from primary school to year eight level, and English, history and Spanish from primary to year 12 level. In regards to the HSC, I can teach English General, Advanced, Extension 1 & 2, Modern History, History Extension, Legal Studies, Spanish and General Maths.
Tutoring Approach:
I have been teaching for eleven years, and I usually work with the student to help them build a strong understanding of the key concepts, and their wider historical and social content. From there I work with my students to strengthen their understanding and building of their own ideas on paper, particularly focusing on their critical thinking, flexibility and communication skills.
I feel learning is very much a two-way process, and try to use dialogue, discussion and contextual materials and examples to build the student's understanding. I really enjoy my work and try to bring my enthusiasm, knowledge and experience to every class I teach.
I see the most substantial and sustained improvement when I work with students for 1-3 hours a week, for a minimum of 2-3 months. With 2-3 months, I generally start to my students improve. With 6 months it seems this improvement becomes more substantial and long lasting. I always prioritise the safety and mental wellbeing of the student.
