Personal Description:
I was born in China, but have been living in Melbourne for the last 16 years. I received most of my education in Australia which includes VCE back in 2002. I love swimming and cooking.
Tuition Experience:
I am a qualified Mathematics and Chinese Teacher recognised by Victorian Institute of Teaching. I taught ESL with Ozford English Language Centre for a year before teaching in United Kingdom for another 12 months. I am currently working full time teaching Maths/Science in South Gippsland Secondary College, Foster. I have also been tutoring for the last 8 years.
Tutoring Approach:
My advice for Maths is that treat numbers your best/close friend and make learning a joy rather than pain. One of my approach to Maths tutoring is to help students find multiple solutions to any given task, Based on my own experiences, working out is a lot more important than how quick students find the correct answer.
Chinese is a very challenging language to learn, however, it can become much easier if students are willing to learn Chinese culture/history at the same time.
