Personal Description:
¡Hola! I am Flor, an architect from Argentina, now living in Australia, which has been my home for over six years. I grew up in a small town surrounded by books, music, and my mum, a passionate elementary school teacher who showed me how meaningful sharing knowledge can be.
I have always loved languages, stories, and connecting with people from different backgrounds. I spent two years living in the U.S… and now I am excited to bring my love for Spanish and Latin American culture to others through tutoring. I am also always keen to improve my English and love learning from my students just as much as they learn from me.
Tuition Experience:
While I am not formally trained as a teacher, I bring a lifetime of informal teaching and learning experiences. Growing up with a dedicated teacher like my mum gave me a deep appreciation for education and the impact it can have. I have helped friends and peers improve their Spanish in casual, conversational ways and am now offering tutoring more intentionally.
I have a strong foundation in language through reading, writing, and cultural immersion, shaped by my life in Argentina, the U.S… and now here in Australia, where I have been lucky to build a life and community. I aim to share not just the structure of Spanish, but the richness of how it is lived and spoken every day.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach is relaxed, friendly, and tailored to your needs. Whether you are a beginner or looking to refine your Spanish, I will help you build confidence through natural conversations, cultural references, storytelling, and lots of encouragement.
As a second-language English speaker myself, I understand first-hand how stressful and overwhelming learning a new language can feel — the fear of making mistakes, the pressure to speak fluently, and even the awkward silences. That is why I aim to make the experience as enjoyable, supportive, and pressure-free as possible. We will laugh, learn, and take things at your pace, focusing on real communication and progress over perfection.
I believe language is best learned when it is meaningful and fun. It is not just about memorising vocabulary but using it in ways that feel alive and relevant to your life. I am especially passionate about listening to your goals and interests, so we can shape each session around what excites you most.
And as we go, I will be learning from you too — improving my English, expanding my worldview, and sharing the joy of cross-cultural exchange. I can’t wait to connect with you wherever you are in the world!
